Dozens of Greene County residents took a road trip to Emmetsburg, sister city to Dublin, Ireland, last summer to investigate for themselves what the impact of a proposed casino might be for Greene County and Jefferson.
The trip was hosted by Grow Greene County and Wild Rose Entertainment.
Some of those who went on the trip to Emmetsburg shared their impressions for a video produced by Wild Rose-Jefferson and Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, which will oversee the distribution of a portion of the casino’s revenue for charitable purposes. The video was part of a March 6 presentation to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.
